Our
house is located in a peaceful little hamlet at the edge of
Montmorillon
within few minutes reach of the town centre and the booktown (about 20
minutes walk).
For 15 years , we have been refurbishing this old farmhouse
and we are always happy to share our experience and love for "old
stones" with our guests.
The
room has not always been like this as you can see on the following
pictures !!!
We serve a
traditional French breakfast (with good crunchy baguette and homemade
jams)
in our dining room whose country atmosphere is enhanced by exposed oak
beams,
a stone wall and the warm yellow shades of the lounge.
When the weather is nice, our guests can enjoy
their breakfast outside,
on the wood terrace or in the garden
Our
garden is most welcoming at summertime and it allows optimum relaxation
whether you choose to spend some time sunbathing or have a pic-nic
wood tables and garden chairs are at your disposal.
We
don't serve dinners but there is a variety of restaurants in
Montmorillon :
gourmets, italian, vietnamese, moroccan restaurants, pancake place or
"bistrot" meals.
We will be happy to recommend you one of them according to what
you are looking for.
Room "Gartempe" is equipped with a kitchenette which will
enable you to prepare simple meals.
There
is plenty of space for parking and a covered parking area is also
available.
The
house is set along a walking trail and we can lend two bikes.
As you
may have guessed from the presentation of this website,
we enjoy the company of cats and you will probably meet Musket,
our cat (to her great despair, she is not allowed in the bedrooms !).
However, our guests'pets are not allowed in our house.
We might accept it very occasionally (and always after previous notice).
One
last information : the rooms and the rest of the house are non smoking !
